History of Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun ka Maqbara It is a tomb monument inspired by Mughal architecture. This mausoleum is located near the old fort of New Delhi, near the Mathura road in Nizamuddin East area. This land used to be the capital of Sultan Kekubad during the time of slave dynasty. For the first time, red sandstone was used in such a large quantity in its construction. Its construction started in 1565, and it was completed in 1572.
