The starting point of the trek begins from a silent village called Pantwari where you will be going through the rocky uphill trudge and gradually turning to a local shepherd’s trail with ascents and descents which are steep.

What makes this trek unique compared to others?

The trek is of low altitude to trek in the mountain for about 3022 meters. The beginning of the journey in the trek is comfortable and easy compared to other treks which is perfect for family and beginners. You have the chance to explore some heavenly bodies all gathered up in one place like the scenic view of the Himalayan ranges, pine forests, and a wide range of flora, and fauna in the culture of Garhwal. In your spare time, you can interact with local people in the villages to learn about the traditions and customs. You can get knowledge about Indian mythology and the local cuisines present in the village of Pantwari.

Short Itinerary

Day 1– Pick-up facility from Dehradun Railway station in the early morning at 6:30 am and travel to Pantwari via Mussoorie, Kamptifall by a taxi or a cab, 90 KM  you will reach approximately for 4-5 hours and go for the same day trek to Katiyan which is 4 KM  for 2-3 hours and stay in the campsite after midnight.

Day 2- Arise early in the morning from Khathiyan to Nag Tibba Summit which is at a height of 3032 meters through the base camp of Nag Tibba temple and make your return to the base camp after having lunch travel to Pantwari.

ATM point

Before beginning the trek journey in Nag Tibba, you can access the ATM to withdraw cash if needed and then you can continue to the Rajpur Road.

Mobile connectivity

Phone access is not available in this trek as there is no network coverage in the area, so make sure you don’t have any important calls to make. When reaching the Pantwari market you will receive good network coverage.

Travel plan

The Nag Tibba trek adventures will be completed in 2 days from Dehradun to Dehradun which includes traveling. Firstly, all the participants must book their flight tickets, train, and bus according to the timetable as you will be picked up from 6 AM to 7 AM to reach Dehradun in the morning. You will be picked up by a taxi or a cab from the railway station. The tour operator will arrange transport for the participants and also the contact details will be provided before the week of your departure.

Initiate the booking according to your calendar, the tour operator will take responsibility so that you don’t go through any problems while trekking.

Electricity availability

In the surrounding area of the forest, there is no supply of electricity in the Nag Tibba trek. During night times it’s mandatory to use solar lights or strobe lights, candle lights. Trekkers should carry their head torch and camera with extra batteries. Also, do carry phones fully charged as it has the same facility with the lights.
