Karan Ghat Temple
The mythological history associated with the Karan Ghat temple tells that this temple is established from the Mahabharata period and this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The reason behind this is that a Shivling is established in the ground of this temple, if pundits are to be believed, this Shivling was donated by Danveer Karna. The temple is dark and pink in color but it holds a lot of stories and history.
It is told by some historians that Danveer Karna used to donate 50 kg of gold every day at this place, but at present, the Ganges river is located at a distance of about 7 to 8 kilometers from this holy place, due to which that Ganga is called the old Ganga. The name has been taken.
